For the first time in the tournaments history, the American Express World Golf challenge comes to the British shores in 2006 and will be played at the Grove in Hertfordshire. The contest pits the 50 best golfers in the world against each other, the title being fought this year by names such as Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Colin Montgomerie and Lee Westwood.
The Grove is a relatively new course, having opened in just 2003 and the American Express World Golf Challenge will be the first time the course receives such international exposure. However what it may lack in tradition and heritage it makes up for in style and playability.
The Grove has a wonderful blend of old fashioned simplicity, where the contours of the landscape do much of the architects job and yet at the same time is a 21st Century golf club.
Golfing Elite gives you the chance to play against the likes of Tiger Woods et al. Not literally of course, but we are able to secure tee times at the Grove for our members allowing you to compare your play on this great course to that of the finest in the world.
