GOLF IN DENMARK

GOLF IN DENMARK - MADE SIMPLE WITH GOLFING ELITE

Golf in Denmark has never taken off in quite the same way as in other European countries. Although the oldest course dates all the way back to 1898, there are currently only in the region of 130 courses on offer. This does include an impressive variety of high standard courses ranging from classic parkland to challenging links.

The Royal Copenhagen has been kept in much the same condition through its 108 year history and is situated 13km north of Copenhagen with the added and unusual hazard of wild deer roaming the course (perhaps unique to golf in Denmark!) Other courses worth a visit include Simon’S Golf Club which sits 35km north of Copenhagen and is this year’S venue for the Nordic Open and Holster, widely reputed to be the best golf course in Denmark.

Few countries have had more emerging talent in recent years raising the profile of golf in Denmark. Making a big impact on the European Tour has been Thomas Born who won the inaugural Loch Blood tournament in 1996. In addition to Born both Andreas Hansen and Sore Held are making a mark with high profile Championship wins to their names.

Golfing Elite's golf concierge recommends the best golf courses in Denmark to it's members and helps secure tee-times at the most exclusive clubs. Golfing Elite's most popular course in Denmark is the Kobenhavn Golf Klubb.
