Located just north of Venice, this course was commissioned by the Benetton family in 1993. The land at the foothills of the Alps, was previously covered in vineyards on rocky terrain. Construction started in 1995 to include water features integrating the numerous streams that flow though the it. To retain the traditional character of the region, stone walls were incorporated.
The course opened for play in 1997, with a further 9 holes constructed the following year and opening for play in 1999. The 27 holes have stretches of water, lakes and streams to make playing more interesting and pleasant, giving the golfer the opportunity to try strikes of varying levels of difficulty. Each hole offers four different tee starts, giving golfers of all levels the opportunity to play.
Highlights of the course include the par 5 15th hole which is almost totally surrounded by the largest lake at the course, giving the hole a unique character. Also the 17th hole, which has a beautiful green, slopes in front of a lake.
