The Aloha Golf Course was designed by Javier Arana, one of Spainīs best known golf architects. The course opened in October 1975 and is considered the start of the boom within the promotion and development of Spanish golf courses. Situated in Nueva Andalucia, the Mecca of the European Golf, Aloha is a natural Golf Course, with a varied vegetation, where one hole is never like another.
It is essential to place your shots, especially off the tees, as the course is narrow with many hazards requiring accuracy rather than length. Aloha provides a challenge for skilful players with intelligent use of terrain from a golfing point of view, especially on holes 1, 12 and 18. A number of natural banks can cause problems as can several water hazards, particularly on the back nine. The variety of hazards combine with well maintained contoured greens to create an entertaining course.
