    DESCRIPTION

Walton Heath Golf Club was founded in 1903 and has two championship courses designed by Herbert Fowler, a leading amateur golfer and designer who worked both in the British Isles and overseas, including several courses in the United States.

Walton Heath Old Course is set on the highest spot in Surrey and is a wide open course which is a real pleasure to play. It is a fast course and players will need to play with accuracy to avoid the gorse and heath which line the fairways. Testament to the skill of Herbert Fowler, Walton Heath Old Course is to this day, ranked as one of the Top 100 courses in the world.

Walton Heath New Course was opened in 1907, and is comfortably ranked in the Top 100 courses in the British Isles and is a superb test of golf that plays to a Championship length of over 7100 yards.

In its illustrious history Walton Heath has hosted the Ryder Cup (1981) and 5 European Opens among other prestigious golfing events.
