    DESCRIPTION

The Buckinghamshire Golf Club with its 18 Hole John Jacobs designed course is set in 226 acres of magnificent English Parkland.

Whilst situated only 18 miles from the centre of London and 12 miles from Heathrow, the course offers a delightful oasis of calm and privacy. The East of the course is bounded by the River Colne and the South by the River Misbourne. To the West lies the historic village of Denham, with its charming and timbered picturesque high street.

The superb site contains 5 000 mature trees, and a further 2,000 indigenous trees and shrubs such as oak, beech and maple have been planted during the building of the course. Wild flowers - primula, cowslip, meadow sweet and campions bloom in abundance in the roughs and round the lakes. This generous planting is encouraging the natural fauna and wildlife, which includes herons, swans, kingfishers, deer and foxes.

The Clubhouse is a historic Grade II listed mansion, predominantly eighteenth century, being completely restored to its original glory. The decor has been chosen to reflect the grandeur of the setting, with the emphasis on relaxation and comfort. It offers every possible amenity required by the discerning golfer.

From the South-facing terrace, visitors are able to enjoy a quiet drink overlooking the practice greens and the river beyond. Alternatively they can dine in the Heron Restaurant whilst a simpler meal is available in the Spike Bar. Throughout the Clubhouse, service and quality is of the highest standard.
