    DESCRIPTION

The Kennemer Golf & Country Club is one of the oldest clubs in the Netherlands. Originally designed by Harry Colt in 1920, the course is set-up in three loops of 9. The A course the 'Van Hengel', the B course the 'Colt' and the most recent 9 the 'Pennick' developed in 1985 by Frank Pennick. The original 18 hole Colt design is one to saviour and is a classic links course requiring much accuracy especially if the wind blows off the sea. The course is typified by its sand dunes and gorse which on first view lull golfers into believing there are no real hazards but with strategically placed bunkers throughout the course, blind shots required and the unpredictability of the link terrain, the course is a real challenge.
