Druids Glen
Druids Glen Golf Club is often referred to as the Augusta of Europe. Although only 7 years old, the course designers Pat Ruddy and Tom Craddock used the existing rugged and varied landscape to produce arguably the best parkland course in Ireland. With its 18 challenging holes, many of those over water, Druids Glen offers a unique golfing experience to all golfers. Each hole encompasses a distinct Irish flavour including an ancient Druids Altar on the 12th hole.
Druids Heath
This is another stunning piece of design work from Pat Ruddy. A course that measures 7434 yards from the back tees. Overlooked by the new Marrriott hotel on one side while experiencing breathtaking views of the Irish Sea on the other.
The theme running through the whole course is good bunkering at the landing areas of the shots and well protected greens by further bunkering.
Druids Heath offers a great variety of good golf holes with gently shaped dog legs that move from right to left and from left to right. The par 3's are some of the most challenging to be found in European Golf with one measuring 275 yards from the back tee over water.
All of this plus the sea breeze which is always present means Druids Heath will be a real golfing challenge and is surely set to play host to major golfing events in the not to distant future.
